A guide to the client’s journey when buying a gift within your online store.

1. When a client navigates to your online store and finds the gift card or package they’d like to purchase, they can simply add it to their cart.

2. If clients are buying for themselves, they’ll simply use the checkout button. In this article, we’ll focus on the gift-buying experience. To purchase a gift, clients can click Buy as a gift.

3. After clicking the Buy as a gift button, a popup will appear, asking if they’d like to create a personalized email. To proceed with the email, they click Yes, let’s create, otherwise they can proceed with just purchasing.

4. This will bring them to the email builder flow where they can choose a banner design.

5. Next they will enter the recipient's information and their name under Who's it from.

6. Optionally, they can enter a custom message that will be displayed on the email.

7. Next they can opt to have the gift sent immediately or schedule it to go out on a future date. Let's take a look at the latter.


9. They will select a date.

10. Next, they'll select the time the gift should be sent to the recipient's email address.

11. A preview is displayed to the right of the email builder.

12. Once they are ready to proceed they'll click the Checkout button.
