What is a custom category

Custom categories enable you to group various types of services, organizing them in a way that makes sense for both your practice and your clients.

How to add custom categories

1. Log in to your Moxie Suite account using this link.

2. Within the Global Nav click Services & Products Service menu

3. On the Services page, click the purple box at the top of the page with Add a service button.

4. Once on the Add a service page, click on Custom category.

5. On the Select category page you can view a list of existing categories. If you do not see the category you'd like you can click Add category to add a new one.

6. On this page enter the name of your category then click Add. The new category will then be displayed on the previous page.

Managing custom categories for online booking

1. Within the Global Nav click  Settings Online booking.

2. Scroll to Customize colors and logo and toggle it on.

3. On the expanded menu you'll see a list of your custom categories. You can reorder your categories by clicking on the Edit order button.

4. To re-order, click on a custom category hold and drag it. Click Save changes when finished reorganizing.

Tada 🎉 your online booking page will now group service menu items by custom categories.

1. Which custom categories are displayed in the Group services by categories settings? 

    • Only custom categories that are attached to at least one service menu item and bookable online will be displayed on this page. Review this article on service menu items for more information. 

2. How can I edit the custom category of a service menu item?

    • Within the Global Nav click Services & Products Service menu. Find the menu item you'd like to edit then click on the ellipses > Edit. Review this article on service menu items for more information. 

3. I need to update the name of a custom category, how can I do that?

    • Reach out to your PSM to update the name of a custom category. 

4. How are the names of services displayed within each category on my online booking page? 

    • Service menu item names will be displayed in alphabetical order within each custom category.
