How to add specials or event pop-ups to your website

Follow these steps to create and customize pop-ups for specials or events on your Squarespace website

1. Log in to Squarespace

Make sure you are logged into your Squarespace account.

2. Edit Site Header

• • Click Edit
  • Select Edit Site Header.

• • Click the Button and then Edit Link.

• • Copy the booking link (this will be your actual booking link in the live website).

• • Hit Exit.

3. Access Marketing Tools

• • Navigate to Marketing.

• • Select Marketing Tools.

• • Click on Promotional Pop-Up.

4. Configure Pop-Up Settings

• • Turn on your pop-up.

• • Change Layout:
    • Choose a layout you like.

• • • Click Save.
  • Return to Promotional Pop-Up.

5. Customize Pop-Up Actions

• • Scroll down to Action.

• • Click Button.
  • Rename the buttons:
    • Change "Shop Women" to "Book Now".
    • Paste your booking link (use Ctrl + V on PC or Cmd + V on Mac).
  • Rename the second button to Call Us:
    • Click the gear icon.
    • Select Phone and add your phone number.
  • Hit Save.

6. Update Content

• • Return to Promotional Pop-Up.
  • Scroll down to Content and click on it. 

• • Change the heading (e.g., "Spring Sale" to "Black Friday Sale").
  • Update the body text with your promotion details (e.g., "Buy one, take one for every unit of Tox" or "Free skincare for every purchase of 20 units of Tox").

• • Hit Save.

7. Set Display and Timing

• • Return to Promotional Pop-Up.
  • Scroll down to Display and Timing and click on it. 

• • Choose where to show the pop-up:
    • You can select "On any first page" or "On a specific page" like your homepage.
  • Set the pop-up timing:
    • Show on timer after 5 seconds or immediately when they visit the homepage.
  • Choose the display duration (e.g., 30 days, 1 week).
  • Hit Save.

8. Customize Image and Background

• • Return to Promotional Pop-Up.
  • Scroll down to Image and click on it. 

• • Change the background:
    • Click the empty space.

• • • Upload and select the image you want to use.
  • Hit Save.

9. Adjust Font and Colors

• • Return to Promotional Pop-Up.
  • Scroll down to Style and click on it. 

• • Customize the font and colors:
    • Change the color of the body text as desired.

• • Hit Save.

10. Finalize and Save

Ensure all settings and customizations are saved. Review your promotional pop-up to make sure it looks and functions as intended.
