Accessing the New Scripts Tab

1. Within Global Navigation, look for the new Scripts tab and click on it. 


2. On the Scripts page, you can view prescriptions & statuses at a glance. Possible statuses:

    • Incomplete: No script sent to the pharmacy yet.
    • Pending: You’re in the middle of filling out the prescription details.
    • Sent to Pharmacy: Script sent to pharmacy.
    • Not Required: This script doesn’t need to be filled.
    • Cancelled: Contact our supplies team if you must cancel an order.

3. You can also use the Patient and/or Status filters to find the scripts you need quickly.

✏️ Note - This tab won’t be backfilled with historical script orders; you’ll only see scripts created after these enhancements went live.

Placing a Prescription Order During an Appointment

1. Open an appointment that requires a script.

 

2. On the Appointment Overview page, scroll down to the new Script Order section. 

 

3. Once you're ready to fill out the script, click Send Script Order to Pharmacy. Then, a side drawer appears, showing available pharmacies and actions:

    • Create a New Strive Order
    • Create a New Empower Order
    • Reorder Your Last Prescription (preview details by clicking “Show Details”)

Important - The available pharmacies shown are dependent on your medsps physical location. 

Also, as the screenshot shows below, once a script is submitted, the service menu item can't be removed from the appointment. 

 

4. Complete the first page of the Script Form, including:

    • Medication,
    • Number of vials,
    • Directions, then click Next 

 

5. On the next page, any information included on the patient profile page in Moxie Suite will be pre-filled by default, saving you time. 

💡 Tip - In Moxie Suite, a. patients; DOB, Gender, and Address are all optional fields. Be sure to fill these in on the patient's profile to have them pre-filled in a script order form. 

 

6. Select if the medication will be shipped to Medspa or the patient. Confirm shipping addresses and update if needed.

✏️ Note - Regardless of the shipping destination, the patient's address and medspa address are required to fulfill the script. 

 

7. Review the information, then click Next

 

8. On the last page, enter your billing information, then Pay. The pharmacy typically processes the order in 3–5 business days and ships Monday- Thursday.

 

9. You’ll see the prescription marked Sent to Pharmacy in the appointment and on the Scripts page

 

10. After the prescription is paid for and forwarded to the pharmacy, proceed to finalize the checkout process as you normally would and ensure that you collect payment from the client.

Ordering a Prescription Without an Appointment

Don’t need a full appointment for a follow-up prescription? Follow these steps to submit a script without an appointment and collect payment. 

1. Navigate to your schedule and click Create in the top right > Sale to generate a new invoice.

 

2. Search for the patient, click on them > Next.

3. Search for the specific weight loss appointment > select it > Checkout.

4. On the Summary page, click on the Send script order to pharmacy button, then follow along with steps 3-10 from the previous section.

5. Click Create an invoice and proceed with collecting payment from the patient. 

FAQs & Best Practices

Why Isn’t My Patient’s Info Auto-Filled?

  • DOB, Gender, and Address aren’t mandatory for creating a client profile, so they might not appear if that data is missing. You can add this information to the patient profile by following this article

Why Do I Need Both Client & MedSpa Addresses?

  • Pharmacies require both addresses (even if shipping to your MedSpa) for compliance and record-keeping purposes.
